Spreading Love Theme!
Welcome and Hello to our February Control Freaks February Blog Hop. We are all about spreading love this month. If you arrived here after visiting with my talented teammate Wendy Weixler, I will direct you to the next person at the bottom of my post.
I used the Lucky Clover Bundle from the Mini Catalog and unfortunately, this bundle sold out in a matter of weeks because it was so popular. You can still purchase the stamp set but the punch is no longer available. I thought the sentiment was perfect to use for our theme:
The detail on the clover image is just beautiful. Simple but beautiful. I combined some layers of Design A Daydream Designer Paper with some pretty ribbon and embellishments:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Lucky Clover
- Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive
- Cardstock: Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive
- Designer Paper: Design A Daydream

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Old Olive Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Design A Daydream Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Set aside.
- Layer #4: Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 2-1/2″ x 2″. On one 2″ end, cut into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue to Layer #3, 1/4″ from the left edge and 1/2″ from the bottom.
- Layer #5: Design A Dream Designer Paper (2 patterns, 2 pieces) 3-3/4″ x 1-1/2″. Glue one pattern 1-3/4″ from the top on Layer #3 over the banner. Cut the 2nd designer paper piece at an angle 1/2″ from the top on the left side to the bottom right corner. Glue below 1st designer paper.
- Ribbon: Wrap the ribbon around the designer paper layer where the two designer paper pieces meet and tie into a bow at the left.
- Layer #6: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 3″ circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Clover: Stamp the clover image on Basic White Cardstock with Old Olive Ink. Cut with the punch and glue to diecut circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Faux Seaglass Shapes to the background of the white layer.

The Parakeet Party ribbon is a surprisingly perfect co-color and love that you used the Faux Seaglass Shapes for the embellishment for a card that’s not ocean related!
