Shine On!
Welcome to a December Control Freaks Blog Hop! This month we are using foils, gold leafing, jewels, Wink of Stella, whatever we can find to make it SHINE! You may have arrived here to my blog from the fabulous Cindy Elam’s blog and I will be directing you to the next stop at the bottom of my post.
Look at my faboulous Shine-On card! I used some beautiful foil papers for my card today. I hope you think it’s faboulous too!
I added texture to the Gold Foil using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and oh is it pretty! I’m so happy to tell you that the Merriest Moments Bundle is carrying over to next year’s Mini Catalog in July.
Want to create a card just like mine? You can! Just follow these steps:
- Card Base: Mint Macaron Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Gold Foil Sheets 5-1/4″ x 4″. Emboss using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Red & Green Foil Sheets (green) cut and embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies. Glue to card front.
- Layer #4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the die. Stamp the sentiment using Poppy Parade Ink. Stamp the splatters using Daffodil Delight Ink. Glue to the green foil using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Flowers & Branches: Stamp an assortment of holly berries, branches and poinsettia’s using Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron Inks. Stamp some twice without reinking to get a lighter color. Cut with the dies. Glue and tuck under the sentiment layer. Layer two poinsettia’s uisng Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue to the upper left-hand corner of the sentiment layer.
- Bling: Add Champagne Rhinestone Jewls to each flower in clusters of three.
Now it’s time to visit with my talented teammate Tami Hewlett. I’m positive you will love her project and don’t forget to visit everyone else participating this month.
