We Have a Sketch Challenge This Month!

We are all using this sketch challenge today:

I’m so sad that the Best Butterfly Bundle and the Butterfly Kisses Designer Paper is retiring! I love the colors in the patterned paper so much. I used four different patterns on my card today:

I used the diecut for the body of my butterfly and painted it with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. It’s so sparkly in person. I also added a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels in with my stamped polka dots. The jewels are also retiring after this month.

Card Supplies:

• Stamps: Best Butterflies
• Inks: Starry Sky, Fresh Freesia
• Designer Paper: Butterfly Kisses
• Cardstock: Fresh Freesia Basic White, Calypso Coral
• Tools & Accessories: Build A Butterfly Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
• Layer #2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
• Layer #3: 4 pieces of Butterfly Kisses Designer Paper cut and glue as follows:
  • Left: 5″ x 2″
  • Top Right: 2″ x 1-5/8″
  • Center Right: 1-5/8″ x 3/4″
  • Bottom Right: 2″ x 1-5/8″
• Layer #4: Cut a 2-1/2″ circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the butterfly wings with Starry Sky Ink and Fresh Freesia Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals about 1/4″ from the bottom and 1/4″ from the right edge.
• Butterfly Body: Cut a butterfly body with the die and Calypso Coral Cardstock. Color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Glue to butterfly wings with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Fresh Freesia Cardstock with Starry Sky Ink. Cut with the small banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue to circle.
• Dots: Stamp the dotted image above the circle on the left with Starry Sky Ink.
• Bling: Add Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels among the dots and one on the sentiment layer.
