Heavenly Hollyhocks In Pretty Colors!

Pam Findlay is my featured stamper today from our team Control Freaks Card Swap. The pretty colors Pam used on her card make for an elegant and striking card.

The outline diecuts hold all of those pretty colors. Did you notice how she stamped the sides of the card base as well? Follow me with these steps (note that I don’t have this bundle so will estimate the diecut and stamped layers):
- Card Base: Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Stamp the two small flower images along each side using Sweet Sorbet Ink.
- Layer #2: Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 3-3/8″. Glue to card front.
- Diecut: Use the skinny outline die to cut out the large flower & leaves shape.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 5-3/8″ x 3-1/4″. Set aside and follow these steps:
- Cut (1) using the bolder flower & leaves die with Basic White Cardstock.
- Cut (1) using the skinny flower & leaves die with Basic Black Cardstock.
- Color the white die shape leaves and flower centers using Stampin’ Blends Markers (Pretty Peacock, Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink)
- Glue the black diecut layer over the white diecut layer.
- Place (without gluing) the diecut layers on the white cardstock layer. Trace the outline of each flower and inside of each leaf lightly with a pencil for stamping guidance and stamp the three flowers using Crushed Curry Ink. Erase the pencil lines if needed.
- Glue to diecut over the stamped flowers.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment to the bottom right using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Bling: Add Matte Black Dots to the background.

This is a beautiful card. The color combinations really make it pop.
Will you double check the dimensions included for the card base? I’m thinking it’s supposed to be 11” x 4 1/4”?
Thanks for sharing such great inspiration
Thanks for the heads-up Anne, I had the sizes in the wrong spot!
