One Of My Favorite Bundles in our New Annual Catalog. Those Daisies are so Pretty!
As demonstrators, we get to preorder 30 days before customers do when a new catalog is coming out. And one quick way to whip up some pretty cards or projects to show, is to copy some of the samples from the catalog.
This is the card that I chose to CASE, which this time means Copy And Selectively Edit:
My selectively edited parts of this card are the colors! I chose to go with Boho Blue instead of Tahitian Tide for a more subtle card base and second layer. The other colors are Lemon Lime Twist, Bubble Bath, Copper Clay and Lemon Lolly:
You can create a card just like the one I cased and use your own color combination. Here’s what I did:
- Card Base: Boho Blue Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Boho Blue Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Follow these steps:
- Place the daisy die about 1/2″ from the top and centered horizontally.
- Run through the diecutting machine.
- Emboss with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ and glue to card base.
- Glue the Boho Blue Cardstock layer over the Basic White Cardstock layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the two flower images inside the diecut holes with Lemon Lolly Ink.
- Stamp the centers of both flowers with Copper Clay Ink.
- Stamp (3) stems and (4) leaves on Basic White Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Cut with the dies. Glue the stems flat and trim to fit on the card front. Glue the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the half-daisy with Bubble Bath Iink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut with the die. Stamp the flower center with Copper Clay Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Bubble Bath Cardstock with Berry Burst Ink. Cut with the label die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bow: Create a bow with Linen Thread and glue to the center stem.
- Bling: Add Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the background.
