Warmer Weather Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  We are all thinking about spring with our Warmer Weather Theme this week. I was so happy to use our Bee My Valentine stamp set and Bee Builder Punch for today’s card:

The faces on the bees always make me smile and I love the cute sentiments that are included in the stamp set. Notice the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush sparkle on my hearts?

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Bee My Valentine
• Inks: Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lime Twist, Tuxedo Black Memento
• Cardstock: Basic White, Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist
• Designer Paper: Garden Walk
• Tools & Accessories: Bee Builder Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
• Layer 2: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Garden Walk Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.
• Layer 4: Balmy Blue Cardstock 4″ x 3-1/2″. Follow these steps:
  • Stamp the flower stems at the bottom with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.
  • Stamp the sentiment at the right and centered vertically with Pretty Peacock Ink.
  • Stamp the buzz lines with Pretty Peacock Ink twice.
  • Cut (4) Poppy Parade Cardstock hearts with the punch. Color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Glue to the stems, one with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right.
  • Glue layer to card front centered.
• Bees: Follow these steps:
  • Stamp (2) bee bodies with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Poppy Parade Ink.
  • Stamp the face with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  • Cut with the punch.
  • Stamp (2) antennae with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Glue to the body.
  • Stamp (2) wings with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Balmy Blue Ink. Cut with the punch. Glue to the body.
  • Glue the bees to card front with Stampin’
