Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

Spotlight On Vellum!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  I love our Vellum Cardstock and I always forget to use it. I love that that’s what we are featuring for our blog hop today. Can you tell which layer is the Vellum?

It’s actually the very top layer. The white layer underneath with the large stamped leaf peeks through. I hot foiled over the Vellum with the Green Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls and the sentiment uses our Silver:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Botanical Glow
  • Inks: Soft Sea Foam
  • Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Basic White, Vellum
  • Tools & Accessories: Stampin’ Hot Foil System, Green & Silver Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls, Reverse Hot Foil Die, Adhesive Backed Blooms, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Stamp the large leaf image from Botanical Glow with Soft Sea Foam Ink. Glue to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Layer 3: Vellum Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Hot foil the large leaf with the die and Green Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls. Add Tombow Multipurpose Glue to the back of some of the leaves and spread the glue flat. Allow to dry (this glue will not be visable). Add Mini Glue Dots where the sentiment will cover and press in place over the white layer.
  • Sentiment: Use the Reverse Hot Foil Die and a previous sentiment foil that you kept to create an outlined sentiment with the Silver Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls. Cut with the die. Glue over the Vellum layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add Adhesive Backed Blooms to some of the branches or leaves.
