Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

250th Red/White/Blue Celebration!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  Happy 4th of July and our 250th year! Our design team is celebrating today by creating projects to celebrate with you!

I made my own flag and added some layers from the Beautifully Celebrated Bundle. Since I created this card in advance of today, that bundle is now retired but the sentiment was so appropriate. I also added some pretty stars from the Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Beautifully Celebrated
  • Inks: Blueberry Bushel
  • Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Poppy Parade, Basic White
  • Designer Paper: Waterside Retreat
  • Tools & Accessories: Beautifully Celebrated Dies, Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Blueberry Bushel Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
  • Layer 2: Waterside Retreat Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Blueberry Bushel Ink. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 3-5/8 x 2-1/2. Glue to card front above the sentiment and 3/4″ from the left, flat.
  • Star Layer: Blueberry Bushel Cardstock 1-1/2 x 1. Glue to the top left corner of the white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add 1 large star and 2 small stars.
  • Stripes: Cut 2 strips of Poppy Parade Cardstock to measure 3-5/8 x 1/2 and 1 strip to measure 2-1/8 x 1/2. Glue all three strips to the white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals and 1/2″ spacing between them.
  • Branch: Cut 1 branch with the die and Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. Glue to the bottom right on the flag.
  • Leaves: Cut 2 leaves with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Glue 1 leaf to the left of the branch and 1 tucked under the branch on the right.
  • Stars: Add one small star to the branch and one to the A on the sentiment.
