Summer Fun Time!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Summer is here (and the mosquitos) and our blog hop is all about summer this week.

The diecuts in the Splash & Relax Bundle are so much fun. Look at those little sunglasses, flipflops and more:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Splash & Relax
- Inks: Azure Afternoon, Crisp Cantaloupe
- Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Pecan Pie, Basic White, Peaceful Pine, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Gray
- Designer Paper: Waterside Retreat
- Tools & Accessories: Splash & Relax Dies, Everyday Arches Dies, Loose Anchor Trinkets, Linen Thread, Shimmering Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Azure Afternoon Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Waterside Retreat Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 2-7/8″ wide at an angle. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Pecan Pie Cardstock 5 x 3-1/2. Use one size larger and one size smaller Everyday Arches Dies and place on the cardstock together to cut a frame. Glue the f rame to the back of Layer 2 designer paper. Set aside.
- Layer 4: Waterside Retreat Designer Paper 5 x 3-1/2. Glue behind the frame from Layer 3 with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment at the top right corner with Azure Afternoon Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add the following to the bottom of the arches:
- Floatie: Stamp the large floatie with Azure Afternoon Ink on scrap paper first and then on Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the 2nd image with Azure Afternoon Ink. Cut with the die and glue to the bottom left corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sunglasses: Cut the sunglasses with the die and Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock. Cut the lens with the die and Basic Gray Cardstock. Glue to the glasses frame. Glue to floatie.
- Beach Ball: Stamp the small beach ball with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink on scrap paper first and then on Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the 2nd image with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink. Cut with the die and glue tucked into the bottom of the arches shape flat.
- Flipflops: Cut the flipflops with the die and Pecan Pie Cardstock. Cut the straps with Peaceful Pine Cardstock and glue to the flipflops. Glue to card front at the bottom right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Thread: Create a bow with the Linen Thread and glue to the Loose Anchor Trinket. Glue tucked under the floatie with Mini Glue Dots.
- Bling: Add Shimmering Dots to the designer paper.
