Cards For Guys & Double Vision!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Our team theme this week is all about the guys! I kept my card Clean & Simple but it does have quite a few layers:

The Double Vision card technique layers are so pretty when you use the Scenic Coast Designer Paper. The colors are so bright and vibrant aren’t they? And I added a few diecut birds over the diecut sun:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Scalloped Blooms
- Inks: VersaMark
- Cardstock: Secret Sea, Timid Tiger, Lemon Lolly
- Designer Paper: Scenic Coast
- Tools & Accessories: Sunset Coast Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Secret Sea Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Timid Tiger Cardstock 5 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Scenic Coast Designer Paper 4-3/4 x 3-3/4. Cut the strips on the long side at 1/2″ each. You should end up with 10 strips. Start gluing the first strip to the right of the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the first strip, 2 flat strips on each side of the first strip. Continue gluing the strips to the left and right each time alternating between flat and with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This creates the Double Vision Technique.
- Sentiment: Secret Sea Cardstock 3-1/2 x 1/4. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue sentiment to designer paper even at the right and about 1/4″ from the bottom.
- Sun: Lemon Lolly Cardstock cut with the die. Glue on a flat strip of designer paper with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Birds: Secret Sea Cardstock cut with the die. Glue the birds to desiger paper strips that are raised and above the sun flat.
