Casing The Designer Melissa Davies!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. We have a few more weeks remaining of our Case The Designer from our team. This week we are all casing Melissa Davies and this is the card I chose from her blog:

I thought the ants image from the Sweet Bugs Bundle were too cute to pass up. I replaced the ornaments from Melissa’s card with them:

After stamping with Memento Black Ink, I colored with Stampin’ Blends:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweet Bugs, Words Of Beauty
- Inks: Memento Black
- Stampin’ Blends: Darling Duckling, Real Red, Smoky Slate
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Real Red
- Designer Paper: Regals
- Tools & Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Paper Snips, Real Red & White Baker’s Twine, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Regals Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 1. Glue to white layer 1-1/4″ from the top.
- Ants: Stamp the ants below the designer paper with Memento Black Ink. Repeat across. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue layer to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Ants: Ink up 2 of the ants from the image with Memento Black Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut out with the 2-1/8″ circle die from Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue over the designer paper on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Real Red Cardstock 2-7/8 x 1/2 with Memento Black Ink. Trim both ends with Paper Snips into a banner shape. Glue to the right of the circle die with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bow: Create a bow with the Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and glue to the bottom right of the circle.
