A Rainbow Of Thanks!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is an all-green ombre image full of swirls:

I wanted to replicate an ombre setting of greens on my card so I used the cute paint brushes and paint strokes from A Rainbow Of Thanks stamp set. Aren’t those brushes neat?

I started with Shaded Spruce Ink and stamped twice next to each other without reinking and followed that by Shy Shamrock and Lemon Lime Twist Inks. By stamping twice, you get a lighter shade of each color:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: A Rainbow Of Thanks
- Inks: Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie
- Cardstock: Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Shades Of Green Hexagons, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Pecan Pie Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the 3 paint brushes/rollers twice across about 1″ from the top with Pecan Pie. Ink the stamps each time.
- Add Shaded Spruce Ink to the first two paintbrushes/rollers with the skinny paint stroke image without reinking the stamp. The 2nd image should be lighter in color.
- Add Shy Shamrock Ink the the next two paintbrushes/rollers with the medium paint stroke image without reinking the stamp. The 2nd image should be lighter in color.
- Add Lemon Lime Twist Ink the the last two paintbrushes/rollers with the widest paint stroke image without reinking the stamp. The 2nd image should be lighter in color.
- Stamp the dotted image several times over the green paint strokes with Pecan Pie Ink.
- Glue layer to card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Pecan Pie Ink on Pecan Pie Cardstock 2-1/8 x 3/4. Trim the left end at an angle with Paper Snips. Glue to the bottom right on the white layer.
- Bling: Add Shades Of Green Hexagons to the background.
