Case The Designer With Lori De Groot!

Happy Valentines Day and welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. This week for our Case The Designer, we are featuring projects from Lori De Groot. This is the card I came up with using the same colors, same layout but different and newer products:

This is what Lori’s card looks like with all of those pretty layers:

I added dry embossing to my white layer like she did and then continued with the flowers and leaves layers too:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Beautiful
- Inks: Memento Black
- Stampin’ Blends: Pool Party, Old Olive, Pretty In Pink
- Cardstock: Pool Party, Old Olive, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Weekend Adventures
- Tools & Accessories: Simply Beautiful Dies, Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder, Natural Matte Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pool Party Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Old Olive Cardstock 5-1/8 x 3-7/8. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Emboss with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Weekend Adventures Designer Paper 3-1/2 x 2-1/2. Glue to card front centered.
- Leaves: Stamp 2 double leaves image with Memento Black Ink. Color with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die. Glue to the left side of the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Flowers: Stamp 4 flowers with Memento Black Ink. Color 2 with Pool Party Blends and 2 with Pretty In Pink Blends. Color the center of each flower with Old Olive Blends. Cut with the die. Glue the pink flowers over the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue the pool party flowers over the pink flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Flower Sprigs: Cut 2 with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the flowers.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Old Olive Cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Cut around the wording with Paper Snips. Glue over the flowers and designer paper at the bottom right.
- Bling: Add Natural Matte Dots to the designer paper background.
