All Wrapped Up Theme!
I have the cutest card to show you today using the Christmas Scottie Bundle. This is Day 3 of my Christmas Papercrafting Challenge on my Stamp & Ink Designs Group on Facebook. Join in for the whole 10 days here:
When I knew the theme was All Wrapped Up, I immediately thought of this stamp set because of the plaid image you see in the set and this set will retire soon. It is now on our “last chance” list in the online store.
The plaid image is either a blanket or a rug to me but I knew that I could turn it into a gift by adding ribbons and bows to it. You can also use it as a background image. Do you like what I used for all of the colors and layers?
I loved using Gold Holly Leaves as a finishing touch. I tucked a few here and there around the gift that is at the forefront. Here are the details:
Card Supplies:
- Stamps: Christmas Scottie
- Inks: Coastal Cabana, Orchid Oasis, Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker
- Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Basic White, Basic Black
- Designer Paper: 2022-2024 In Color
- Tools & Accessories: Scottie Dog Punch, Gold Holly Leaves, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, 1/4″ Handheld Punch
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Coastal Cabana Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: In Color Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the gift at the left using Bermuda Bay Ink, going off the side a little.
- Without reinking the stamp image, stamp on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock for a lighter ink color. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom using Orchid Oasis Ink. Cut the edges off and set aside.
- Stamp the ribbon image at the top of the darker gift image using Orchid Oasis Ink.
- Without reinking the stamp image, stamp a 2nd time to the left of the gift about 1″ lower.
- Glue the lighter gift lined up under the lighter ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Trim the right edge even.
- Glue white layer to card front.
- Bow: Stamp the bow image twice without reinking on Basic White Cardstock. Cut with the punch and glue to the two gifts using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Scottie Dog: Cut one scottie dog with the punch and Basic Black Cardstock. Glue tucked under the gift on the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut one eye using the 1/4″ handheld punch with Basic White Cardstock. Glue to scottie. Add a black eyeball with the marker.
- Holly Leaves: Tuck and glue the Gold Holly Leaves around the gift in the front with Mini Glue Dots.
