Sketch Challenge Week With Gears & Textures!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and I used our sketch challenge this week to create a masculine card with the Gears & Textures Bundle. Here’s the sketch:

And my card:

This bundle does not include any sentiments so I used one from The Right Words stamp set. I loved layering stamped images, sentiments and diecuts and of course a little bit of bling:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Gears & Textures, The Right Words
- Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Basic White, Silver Foil Sheets
- Inks: Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Azure Afternoon
- Tools & Accessories: Gears & Textures Dies, Opal Rounds Assortment, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pecan Pie Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the large lined image with Early Espresso Ink on the left side twice to fill vertically.
- Gear: Cut 1 large gear with the die and Silver Foil Sheets. Glue over the stamping with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 3: Stamp the long chain image on Basic White Cardstock 1/2 x 5-1/4 using Azure Afternoon Ink. Cut with the die. Glue with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals about 1″ from the bottom.
- Layer 4: Pecan Pie Cardstock 3-3/4 x 2-3/4. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals 3/4″ from the right side.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock 3-1/2 x 2-1/2. Stamp the sentiment with Early Espresso Ink 1″ from the right side. Add more stamping with the gears, arrows and splatter with Early Espresso, Azure Afternoon and Pecan Pie Inks. Glue to soft suede layer flat.
- Bling: Add Opal Rounds Assortment to the stamped layer.
