Sketch Challenge Week With Beautifully Celebrated!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and it’s also Sketch Challenge week with this sketch:

This was a fun sketch and it was neat to add stamped flowers & branches at the top of my designer paper layer with VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled white embossing powder and then used my Heat Tool to melt the powder. The white embossing is striking against the peacock color:

I added two different patterns from the Nature Walk Designer Paper and on my top layer, I added some direct to paper stamping and used White Embossing Powder on the images.


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beautifully Celebrated, The Right Words
- Cardstock: Old Olive, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Nature Walk
- Inks: VersaMark, Pretty Peacock
- Tools & Accessories: Beautifully Celebrated Dies, Old Olive Rickrack. Opal Rounds Assortment, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Old Olive Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
- Designer Paper Layers: Layer as follows-
- DSP 1st layer 5-1/4 x 3-1/2. Cut at an angle starting at the bottom left to the right side at 2-1/2 measured from the top. Add the 2nd pattern 5-1/4 x 1-3/4 and glue so both pieces together measure 4″ wide.
- Glue both layers to the white layer.
- Stamp the branch and flower image across the top designer paper with VersaMark Ink.
- Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt the powder with a Heat Tool.
- Set aside.
- Ribbon: Add Tear & Tape to the designer paper at the angle cut and press the ribbon in place and wrap around to the backside too.
- Glue layer to card base.
- Stamp the sentiment on Old Olive Cardstock 2-1/4 x 1 with Pretty Peacock Ink. Trim both ends into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Opal Rounds Assortment to the background.
