Sketch Challenge Week With Aspen Grove!

Today is a new year! Here’s to wishing you a healthy and happy New Year and a whole new year of creativity at Create With Stamping Friends . This first week of the New Year brings you this sketch challenge:

The sentiment says it all: You’re Wonderful . Your’e Loved . You Matter!

I love the pretty birch tree images from the Aspen Grove stamp set. All of the trees are individual stamps that you space as you like. You can use one, two, three or more trees like I did today:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Aspen Grove, Wonderful Thoughts
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Thoughtful Journey
- Inks: Memento Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, VersaMark
- Stampin’ Blends: Smoky Slate
- Tools & Accessories: Mini Blending Brushes, Shades Of Green Hexagons, Perennial Postage Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Follow these steps-
- Basic White Cardstock cut wit the Perennial Postage Dies 4-1/2 x 3-1/4.
- Stamp the trees and branches with Memento Black Ink.
- Use a Blending Brush to add Pool Party Ink inbetween the trees.
- Stamp the foliage image repeatedly with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.
- Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 4: Basic Black Cardstock 4-7/8 x 1/4. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue sentiment to card front.
- Bling: Add Shades Of Green Hexagons to the stamped background.
