Create With Stamping Friends Challenge 887

Sketch Challenge Week With Amber Autumn!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . It’s almost fall weather here in Maine so I decided to use our Amber Autumn stamp set along with the Gathering Together Designer Paper. This week we are all using this sketch:

I kept my card Clean & Simple with lots of designer paper layers:

I stamped the acorn image with Early Espresso Ink right onto the designer paper and decided not to color it. I love the way it looks as a lined image:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Amber Autumn
  • Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
  • Designer Paper: Gathering Together
  • Inks: Early Espresso, VersaMark
  • Tools & Accessories: Streaked Dots, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Cajun Craze Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
  • Layer 2: Gathering Together Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: 2 pieces of Gathering Together Designer Paper 3-1/2 x 1. Glue the tops only to the left side leaving spacing between the two pieces.
  • Layer 4: Gathering Together Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 1. Glue to card front about 1″ from the bottom and weaving the 2 designer papers-one under and one over, adding adhesive to the bottoms of the designer paper strips to press them in place.
  • Acorns: Stamp the acorn image at the top right with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Sentiment: Early Espresso Cardstock 2-3/4 x 1/2. Stamp the sentiment in the center with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue over the designer paper layers at the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add Streaked Dots to the background.
