Color Challenge Week With Gallery Blooms!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we have some pretty colors for a Color Challenge this week. Take a peek:

I used an old trick on my card today that I haven’t used for a long time. I added some gathered ribbon along the edge of my stamped layer. It makes a nice finish and is so easy to accomplish:

It’s easiest done with ribbon that is soft and easy to play with. You can see a close-up in the photo below:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Gallery Blooms, The Right Words
- Cardstock: Cloud Cover, Lemon Lolly, Basic White
- Stampin’ Blends: Cloud Cover, Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia
- Inks: Cloud Cover
- Tools & Accessories: Gallery Blooms Dies, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon, Opal Rounds
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Cloud Cover Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2. Stamp the flower image repeatedly with Cloud Cover Ink.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 4-3/4 x 2-3/4. Follow these steps:
- Add Tear & Tape to the back on one long side. Remove backing.
- Start at one end with the ribbon and press in place. Fold the ribbon over to create the fold and press in place. Repeat each time you fold the ribbon.
- Glue layer to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 3: Stamp the flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Cloud Cover Ink. Cut with the die. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Color over the flowers with Wink Of Stella. Glue to white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 4: Lemon Lolly Cardstock 3-3/8 x 3/4. Stamp the sentiment with Cloud Cover Ink. Glue 1/4″ from the bottom of the white layer and over the flower image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Opal Rounds to the background.
