Sketch Challenge Week With Natural Botanicals!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and this week we have a Color Challenge to play with. I love all three of these colors. They are some of my favorites!
I used the Natural Botanicals stamp set for my images and added a sentiment from the Grow With Love stamp set:
You’ll notice a shiny layer on my flowers in the close-up photo below. I colored the flowers with my Fine Tip Glue Pen. It dries rock hard and is not sticky at all once dried. If you’ve been with Stampin’ Up! for a long time, this glue resembles the Crystal Effects we used to carry.
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Natural Botanicals, Grow With Love
- Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Calypso Coral
- Designer Paper: 2024-2026 In Color
- Inks: Summer Splash, Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral
- Tools & Accessories: Fine Tip Glue Pen, 2024-2026 Shimmer Gems, Stylish Shapes Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: In Color Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the daisy image twice with Summer Splash Ink. Allow the ink to dry for a few minutes. Once the ink is dry, color the flowers with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Set aside to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Once dry, glue to card front about 3/4″ from the right edge with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Leaves: (1) large leaf on Calypso Coral Cardstock with Calypso Coral Ink. (3) small leaves on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Handcut all four leaves with Paper Snips. Tuck and glue 3 of the leaves flat under the white layer. Glue the last leaf with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Summer Splash Ink on Calypso Coral Cardstock. Cut close to the wording. Glue over the white layer & leaves on the left.
- Bling: Add 2024-2026 Shimmer Gems to the white background.
