Sophisticated Sled and a Color Challenge!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . Before I chat about my project for today, Happy Thanksgiving! It also happens to be my birthday today so yes, I’m a turkey this year!
This week, our challenge team used these three colors on our projects:
I decided to go Clean & Simple on my card with a stamped wreath in the center:
I also tucked the sentiment banner inside the left side of my wreath. The Neutrals Designer Paper was perfect for the Gray Granite portion of the color challenge this week:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sophisticated Sled
- Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Azure Afternoon, Gray Granite, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Neutrals Designer Paper
- Inks: Lemon Lime Twist, Azure Afternoon, Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends
- Tools & Accessories: Sophisticated Sled Dies, 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Neutrals Designer Paper 4 x 2-1/2. Glue even with the bottom of the white layer.
- Layer 4: Azure Afternoon Cardstock 4 x 1. Glue to card front centering over the white & designer paper layers.
- Layer 5: Gray Granite Cardstock cut with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch. Glue over the Azure Afternoon Cardstock strip.
- Layer 6: Stamp the wreath image on Basic White Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist. Color the berries with Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Azure Afternoon Ink on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 2-1/4 x 5/8. Trim the right end into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Tuck and glue inside the wreath on the left.
