Sweetest Star Bundle!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and our Challenge Team is using this sketch for our projects this week:

The Sweetest Star Bundle makes it easy to stamp and punch the adorable Santa images that I used for my three identical layers:

I cut up the sentiment into two lines to add to the small banner at the top. To give the Santas dimension, I stamped them twice: once on Poppy Parade Cardstock and once on Basic White Cardstock. I hand-cut the white faces and glued them with Stampin’ Dimensionals for height:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Sweetest Star
• Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Basic White
• Designer Paper: Snowy Scenes
• Inks: Memento Black
• Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Ivory
• Tools & Accessories: Sweetest Star Punch, Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
• Misc: White Gel Pen

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
• Layer 2: Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Snowy Scenes Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
• Layer 4: Basic Black Cardstock 1-7/8 x 1-3/4. Trim the bottom with Paper Snips into a banner shape. Glue even with the designer paper at the top and about 3/4″ from the left.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock 1/2″ wide. Cut up the sentiment into two lines. Glue to banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Santas: Create the Santas with these steps:
  • Stamp (3) santas on Poppy Parade Cardstock with Memento Black Ink.
  • Color the belts with Basic Black Stampin’ Blends
  • Color the sleeves with a white gel pen.
  • Color the boots with Basic Black Stampin’ Blends.
  • Cut with the punch.
  • Glue the center Santa with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the bottom center of the designer paper.
  • Glue the other 2 Santas flat and tucked under the raised Santa.
  • Stamp 3 more Santas (face only) on Basic White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink.
  • Handcut the faces with Paper Snips.
  • Color the hat and nose with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
  • Color the face with the Ivory Stampin’ Blends.
  • Glue over the red Santas with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Bling: Add Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment to the tag and to the background.
