Color Challenge Week With The Outdoor Adventure Bundle!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we have 3 beautiful Stampin’ Up! colors for a color challenge this week:

Just a few days ago, Stampin’ Up! added new products to our Online Exclusives line. Being from Maine and our love of the outdoors, I most assuredly had to add the Outdoor Adventure Bundle to my order. It’s November and here in Maine, our outdoorsmen (and women) are out deer hunting this month.

I love the top of the mountain diecut I used and I even stamped some trees for the background by using Pecan Pie Ink on Pecan Pie Cardstock. There are so many interesting shapes and images in this bundle:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Outdoor Adventure
- Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight, Thick Basic White, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Neutrals
- Inks: Pecan Pie, Misty Moonlight
- Tools & Accessories: Outdoor Adventure Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Neutrals Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 3. Glue even with the left side.
- Layer 3: Cloud Cover Cardstock 4-1/2 x 3-1/4. Set aside.
- Layer 4: Follow these steps:
- Pecan Pie Cardstock 3-1/4 x 3-1/4.
- Use the mountain top die at the very top and cut.
- Stamp the trees image twice without reinking for some lighter areas. Repeat a few times across.
- Glue to cloud cover layer.
- Stamp the star image a few times above the mountains with Misty Moonlight Ink.
- Use a scrap piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock to cut with the arrow die. Glue even at the right edge with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Deer: Stamp the deer image on Basic White Cardstock with Pecan Pie Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to pecan pie layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the 2 sentiments on a scrap piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock with Misty Moonlight Ink. Cut close to the wording and glue to the sky with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I am telling you that the “outdoor Adventure” card is beyond awesome. I used this set on Tuesday for my card class, but They used the deer or fox, and put it in an explosion card. Very successful . I do really like this card. Again, thank you for always seeingly to have just what i need and when i need it.
