Sweet Bugs & Cute As A Bug Designer Paper!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is this critter photo:

I used two dies from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies to create a frame and also to create a hole to the front of my card base:

I then glued designer paper to the inside that peeks through the diecut hole and then added some cute stamped images to the front:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweet Bugs
- Inks: Cajun Craze
- Stampin’ Blends: Mossy Meadow, Darling Duckling
- Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Darling Duckling, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Cute As A Bug
- Tools & Accessories: Sweet Bugs Dies, Beautifully Celebrated Dies, Rhinesonte Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Mossy Meadow Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4. Use the Beautifully Celebrated Dies 3-3/4″ long to cut a hole on the front of the card base about 3/4″ from the top. Discard the cut piece for another project.
- Layer 2: Use the same die and one size larger, line them up together over Darling Duckling Cardstock to cut a frame. Glue to card front to frame the diecut hole.
- Stamp the lined image to the bottom right corner a few times with Mossy Meadow Ink.
- Layer 3: Cute As A Bug Designer Paper 4 x 4. Glue to the inside of the card base to cover the diecut hole so the paper peeks through the front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Cajun Craze Ink. Cut around the sentiment with Paper Snips, cuttin the top and bottom flat. Tuck and glue inside the frame on the top right.
- Caterpillar & Tulips: Stamp both images with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut both images with the dies and color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue both to the bottom of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card base around the frame.
