Beautiful Butterflies Bundle & A Watercolored Background!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week Connie & I used this inspiration photo for our projects:
I chose to use the butterfly theme along with a few of the colors from the photo. This is my card for this week’s Inspiration Monday:
I used the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle and added some watercoloring on my Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper layer:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies
- Inks: Melon Mambo, Shy Shamrock
- Cardstock: Shy Shamrock, Basic White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Designer Paper: Marbled Elegance
- Tools & Accessories: Stampin’ Spritzer, Water Painters, Beautiful Butterflies Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Shy Shamrock Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Marbled Elegance Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper 4-1/4 x 3.
- Follow these steps with the watercolor paper:
- Add water to a Water Spritzer and spray over the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Use the Shy Shamrock Ink Pad and press in the center of the lid before opening. Open the lid and use the ink pooled to the inside cover, add a few drops of water from the Water Painter and squeeze a few drops of color to the watercolor paper.
- Follow the same steps with the Melon Mambo Ink.
- Allow to dry. Stamp two areas with the dotted image where the butterflies with be glued, with Shy Shamrock Ink.
- Glue to card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Layer 5: Shy Shamrock Cardstock 3-1/2 x 1. Stamp the sentiment with Melon Mambo Ink. Glue to watercolor paper layer.
- Butterflies: Cut (2) butterflies with Melon Membo Cardstock and (3) butterfly bodies with Shy Shamrock Cardstock. Assemble the butterflies and glue to card front over the dotted images with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the butterflies.
