Patterns Theme with Timeless Plaid!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our theme for this month:

I kept my card simple so that the eyes would be drawn to the patterns in my designer paper strips. There are so many patterns to pick from with the Timeless Plaid Designer Paper:

My large sentiment comes from the Light & Wonder stamp set and I used white embossing powder to make it stand out from the Calypso Coral Cardstock:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Light & Wonder
• Inks: VersaMark
• Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Calypso Coral
• Designer Paper: Timeless Plaid
• Tools & Accessories: Nested Essential Dies, Hues Of Blue Flowers, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
• Layer 2: Timeless Plaid Designer Paper 8 strips 4-1/4 x 3/4. I used 4 patterns. Glue to card base starting at the top and once you get to the bottom, trimm excess off.
• Layer 3: Calypso Coral Cardstock cut with the Nested Essential Dies 3 x 2-3/8. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with a Heat Tool. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Bling: Add Hues Of Blue Flowers to the sentiment layer.
