Month Long Masks Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:

I chose to use our Thankful Garden Decorative Masks on my card. Aren’t the rose pretty in two ink colors?

I also used a layer of cardstock and designer paper that was dry embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Thankful Garden
- Inks: Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam, VersaMark
- Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Beautiful Bokeh
- Tools & Accessories: Thankful Garden Dies, Thankful Garden Decorative Masks, Blending Brushes, Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder, Labeled With Love Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basic Embossing Powders, Heat Tool
Here are the steps to adding color with the Decorative Masks:



- Step 1: Stamp the large flower image and use the small flower die to cut out the flower only. Repeat twice for 2 flowers.
- Step 2: Use the first Decorative Mask to color the full flower with Fresh Freesia Ink and a Blending Brush.
- Step 3: Use the 2nd Decorative Mask to add partial color to the flower with Gorgeous Grape Ink and a Blending Brush.



- Step 4: Use the 1st Decorative Mask to color the full leaf images with Soft Sea Foam Ink and a Blending Brush.
- Step 5: Use the 2nd Decorative Mask to color the details with Soft Sea Foam Ink and a Blending Brush.
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Garden Green Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Set aside.
- Layer 4: Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper 3-3/4 x 3-3/4. Cut diagonally. Glue one piece to the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock layer. Emboss with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Garden Green Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the Labeled With Love Punch. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Flowers: Follow the steps above and glue one over the sentiment and one tucked under with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
