Thankful Garden Bundle For A Garden Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:

My pretty flower image is from the Thankful Garden Bundle which includes a stamp set, dies and decorative masks. I used the Thankful Garden Decorative Masks to add the ink color on the inside with Blending Brushes:

I also used the Celebratory Sips Designer Paper and chose a pattern that has a subtle print to it:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Thankful Garden
- Inks: Fresh Freesia, Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Memento Black
- Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Celebratory Sips
- Tools & Accessories: Thankful Garden Dies, Thankful Garden Decorative Masks, Labeled With Love Punch, Blending Brushes, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Melon Mambo Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Gluet to card base.
- Layer 3: Celebratory Sips Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Cut 1 branch with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Glue to the left.
- Layer 5: Stamp the large flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Follow these steps:
- Color the petals with a Blending Brush, Fresh Freesia Ink and the Decorative Masks.
- Color the partial petals with a Blending Brush, Melon Mambo Ink and the Decorative Masks.
- Color the leaves with a Blending Brush and Garden Green Ink, lightly.
- Color the partial leaves with a Blending Brush and a 2nd layer of Garden Green Ink.
- Cut with the die.
- Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Fresh Freesia Cardstock with Melon Mambo Ink. Cut with the Labeled With Love Punch. Glue to the bottom right corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hello, I look often to your cards and I like them!!!
But now I see a card that I don’t love for 1 thing : the white leaves … I don’t understand …
But you gave me a lovely tip for a card: make it without the white leaves!!!
So thank you so much for sharing this card!
Hi Therese, the white leaves placed under the other layers make the colors pop. Sometimes adding a single color helps the other colors.
