Friendly Seagulls & Timeless Plaid!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is this photo of some adorable seagulls:
We just happen to have a Friendly Seagulls stamp set at Stampin’ Up! during Sale-A-Bration. You can earn this stamp set for free too! This is the card I came up with:
I chose to add a small scenery on a tag. The seagulls were all stamped on Basic White Cardstock, colored with Stampin’ Blends and handcut. Here are some details for you to look at:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Friendly Seagulls
- Inks: Pebbled Path
- Stampin’ Blends: Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path
- Cardstock: Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path, Balmy Blue, Basic Beige, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Timeless Plaid
- Tools & Accessories: Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pebbled Path Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 4-7/8 x 3-5/8. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Timeless Plaid Designer Paper 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Balmy Blue Cardstock 4-1/4 x 2-3/4. Stamp the birds image a few times at the top with Pebbled Path Ink. Set asid.e
- Layer 5: Basic Beige Cardstock 2-3/4 x 2. Tear the top on the 2-3/4 end. Glue to the bottom of the Balmy Blue layer. Use Paper Snips to cut into a banner shape at the bottom. Stamp the pebbles image with Pebbled Path Ink a few times on the beige layer. Glue tag to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Wild Wheat Cardstock 1-1/2 x 1/2. Stamp the sentiment with Pebbled Path Ink. Glue to the left of the tag 1/2″ from the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Birds: Stamp all three birds with Pebbled Path Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Handcut all three birds. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
