Create With Stampin’ Friends-Inspiration Monday 335

June 3, 2024 Leave a Comment

A New Inspiration Photo!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is this beautiful ocean-themed photo. So many options to pick from don’t you think?

I went with the seashell theme from the photo and used the Seaside Wishes Bundle. I consider this card Clean & Simple but oh so pretty!

I started out by stamping the sand dollars first and then added embossed and detailed diecuts over the stamped images:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Seaside Wishes
  • Inks: Pecan Pie, Coastal Cabana
  • Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Coastal Cabana, Basic White, Basic Beige
  • Tools & Accessories: Seaside Wishes

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Pecan Pie Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Coastal Cabana Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Follow these steps:
    • Stamp the large sand dollar with Pecan Pie Ink at the bottom right.
    • Stamp the smaller sand dollar with Pecan Pie Ink at the top left.
    • Stamp the sentiment at the top right with Pecan Pie Ink.
    • Stamp the starfish image in the center of each sand dollar with Coastal Cabana Ink.
    • Stamp the starfish image in the bottom left corner twice without reinking.
    • Stamp the dotted image a few times with Coastal Cabana Ink. Some without reinking.
    • Glue white layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Sand Dollar: Place a small piece of Basic Beige Cardstock inside the embossing folder over the smallest sand dollar and also add in the die. Emboss and cut the shape. Glue over the two stamped sand dollars with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Detailed Sand Dollar: Use the detailed sand dollar die with Coastal Cabana Cardstock and cut (1). Glue tucked under the embossed sand dollar flat.
