Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day. Although today is a holiday, it’s still Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary. Most of us work ahead with our projects and we can post ahead because I know I’m busy cooking, baking and roasting today!
We have a color challenge for you this week and this is what I did with the three colors:
The sentiment is also perfect for today’s holiday. I used the veins of the leaves in two ways. Stamped on the white background and diecut and glued on the white background. I love all of the layering with the die shapes:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Autumn Leaves
- Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Pebbled Path, Cajun Craze, Basic White
- Inks: Lost Lagoon, Pebbled Path, Cajun Craze
- Tools & Accessories: Autumn Leaves Dies, Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Blender Pens
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lost Lagoon Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Pebbled Path Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp the large leaf vein image twice without reinking in the center. Set aside.
- Diecuts: Follow these steps:
- Leaf Vein: Cut two leaf veins using Cajun Craze Cardstock. Glue to the right of the stamped leaf veins.
- Large Stamped Leaf: Stamp the large leaf image with Lost Lagoon Ink on scrap paper first and then on Basic White Cardstock. Use a Blender Pen to color with the inked lines. Cut with the die and glue to the left of the veins with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Oak Leaf Die: Cut (2) with Cajun Craze Cardstock and color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Tuck both leaves under the large leaf at the top left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Maple Leaf Die: Cut (1) with Pebbled Path Cardstock and color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Glue over the large stamped leaf at the bottom right corner of the leaf.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with Lost Lagoon Ink and glue white layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add a few Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the white background.
