Calming Camellia Day #5 Feature

January 7, 2022 Leave a Comment

It’s My Final Day with Calming Camellia!

I hope I have convinced you that this is a must-have stamp set for your collection. My favorite part about today’s stamped images is the beautiful detail achieved with Just Jade Ink and the swirls with Fresh Freesia Ink. Did you notice the embossing on the lower half of both cards? The Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder is beautiful!

Did you also notice how the front layers are in different sizes? That’s because I started out with Basic White and Fresh Freesia 5″ x 3-3/4″ each. I stamped all over the white layer and then cut off 2″ to use on the card on the left and I used the larger piece on the card on the right. I did the same with the Fresh Freesia layer. I cut 2″ off and then embossed both sections. It’s a 2-for-one deal!

Card Recipe:

  • Card Bases: (2) Evening Evergreen Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
  • Layer #2: (2) Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: One each Basic White & Fresh Freesia 5″ x 3-3/4″. Do the following:
    • On the Basic White Layer, stamp the branch image repeatedly using Just Jade Ink. Follow by stamping the swirl image repeatedly using Fresh Freesia Ink. Cut off 2″ on the 5″ side.
    • On the Fresh Freesia Cardstock Layer, cut off 2″ on the 5″ side. Emboss both pieces using the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder.
    • Glue the Basic White layers, one to each card front as the top.
    • Glue the Fresh Freesia layers, opposite sizes to each card front at the bottom.
  • Ribbon: Wrap Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around each card front where the two layers meet and tie into a bow at the left. Trim ends at an angle.
  • Sentiment: You will need two. Stamp the sentiment on Evening Evergreen Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut each sentiment using the Everyday Label Punch. Glue to card front near the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add Brushed Brass Butterflies to each sentiment layer.
