Color Challenge Week With Simply Leaves!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we have 3 beautiful colors to use along with neutrals. Here are the 3 colors:
Since it’s fall here in Maine and the leaves are almost done falling off of the trees, I decided to use a leaf theme on my card with multiple products:
The Lustrous Leaves Bundle is so much fun to use on our new Stampin’ Hot Foil System. The Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Die actually hot foils 5 leaves in one step and so does the die to cut them out. I used our Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls on each leaf. The leaves are absolutely gorgeous:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Leaves
- Cardstock: Secret Sea, Pool Party, Timid Tiger, Crumb Cake
- Inks: Secret Sea
- Tools & Accessories: Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies, Lustrous Leaves Decorative Masks, Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls, Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems, Timeless Herringbone Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blending Brushes
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Crumb Cake Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Crumb Cake Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Emboss with the Timeless Herringbone Embossing Folder. Glue to card base with Stampin’ Dimenisonals.
- Leaves: Use the Stampin’ Hot Foil System & Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls to complete 5 leaves in Secret Sea, Pool Party and Timid Tiger Cardstocks. Glue 4 of each leaf color to card front, some with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Pool Party Cardstock 3-1/2 x 3/4 with Secret Sea Ink. Glue over the leaves in the center flat.
- Small Leaves: Diecut a different leaf shape with the same three cardstock colors with the tiny leaf dies. Tuck and glue under the sentiment flat.
- Bling: Add Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems to the background.
