Eat, Drink or Be Scary Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our theme for the month of October:

We have two beautiful bundles for Halloween that I combined on my card. The On My Fright Bundle and the Web Of Fun Bundle. Don’t the layers go great together?

I added two layers of the web in two shades of yellow to mimic the moon in the background by layering and offsetting them:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Oh My Fright, Web Of Fun
• Inks: VersaMark, Highland Heather Dark Stampin’ Blends
• Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist, Golden Glow, Gorgeous Grape
• Designer Paper: Frightfully Fun
• Tools & Accessories: Oh My Fright Dies, Web Of Fun Dies, Rounded Rectangle Punch, Adhesive Backed Bats Ghosts & Dots, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
• Layer 2: Lemon Lolly Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Frightfully Fun Designer Paper 3-1/2 x 3-3-1/2. Set aside.
• Web: Cut 2 webs with the die. One with Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock and one with Golden Glow Cardstock. Layer and glue the webs together. Glue to designer paper and set aside.
• Layer 4: Basic Black Cardstock 3-1/2 x 3-1/2. Tear the cardstock at the top to resemble a hill. Glue to designer paper to that the total length is 4-3/4. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Ghosts: Stamp 3 ghosts on Basic White Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder. Melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the die. Glue all 3 ghosts to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Cut with the Rounded Rectangular Punch. Cut off the right end flat. Tuck and glue uner the ghost on the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals, even at the right edge of the black layer.
• Bats: Use the 3-bat die with Basic Black Cardstock. Glue 2 of them to the web and one to the sentiment.
• Bling: Color 5 dots with the Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. Add to the black background.
