Christmas Crew Moose!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration photo is this one that we are using:

I live out in the country and there’s lots of woods around me. We call it God’s country. Periodically, I see deer and moose so I loved using the Christmas Crew Bundle to feature a moose on my card this week:

I chose to black emboss the image and use Stampin’ Blends to color him:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Christmas Crew
  • Inks: VersaMark, Peaceful Pine
  • Cardstock: Peaceful Pine, Basic Black, Basic White
  • Designer Paper: Alpine Winter
  • Tools & Accessories: Christmas Crew Dies, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders, Adhesive Backed Snowflakes, Everyday Arches Dies, Sunray Embossing Folder

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4.. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Alpine Winter Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Alpine Winter Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 2-1/2. Glue 1/2″ from the left edge.
  • Layer 4: Basic Black Cardstock cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 3-1/2″ tall. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Layer 5: Peaceful Pine Cardstock cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 3-3/16″ tall. Emboss with the Sunray Embossing Folder. Glue to black arch shape flat.
  • Moose: Follow these steps:
    • Stamp the moose image on Basic White Cardstock with VersaMark Ink.
    • Sprinkle with black embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool.
    • Stamp the sentiment on the sign with Peaceful Pine Ink.
    • Cut with the die.

    • Glue to the arch at the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Trees: Use the 2 tree dies with Peaceful Pine Cardstock. Glue the larger tree to the arch on the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue the smaller tree to the right of the larger tree and glue flat.
  • Bling: Add Adhesive Backed Snowflakes to card front.
