Simply Leaves For A Color Inspiration!

Hello and welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is full of fallish colors:

The Simply Leaves Bundle made it so easy for me to incorporate all 4 colors on the color splash image. It’s quick to cut the leaves out with the punch and add a little bit of stamping:

The leaf veins were white-embossed and I added shading with Sponge Daubers in the center of each leaf. I used tone-on-tone colors:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Simply Leaves
  • Inks: Timid Tiger, Golden Glow, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow VersaMark
  • Cardstock: Timid Tiger, Golden Glow, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie
  • Designer Paper: Sunflower Fields
  • Tools & Accessories: Simple Leaf Punch, Linen Thread, 26-28 In Color Dots, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Mossy Meadow Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Sunflower Fields Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Leaves: Cut 2 of each leaf with the punch and Timid Tiger, Golden Glow, Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow Cardstocks. Stamp the veins on each leaf with VersaMark Ink and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue all of the leaves in a cluster with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Sentiment:Stamp the sentiment on Pecan Pie Cardstock 3-1/4 x 3/4 with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Trim both ends into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue over the leaves.
  • Twine: Tie a bow with the twine and glue to the bottom leaves.
  • Bling: Add 26-28 In Color Dots to a few leaves in different colors.
