Create With Stamping Friends Challenge 938

September 17, 2026 Leave a Comment

Color Challenge Week With Oh My Fright!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we are using Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray for our Color Challenge this week:

I decided to go Halloween-y with my card using the Oh My Fright Bundle, Frightfully Fun Designer Paper and cute little bats from the Adhesive Backed Bats Ghosts & Dots embellishments:

I added Very Vanilla Cardstock for a neutral also since the designer paper pattern I chose has vanilla stripes going through it. The stamped image was embossed with Black Embossing Powder and colored with Stampin’ Blends:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Oh My Fright
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla
  • Designer Paper: Frightfully Fun
  • Inks: Basic Black, VersaMark
  • Stampin’ Blends: Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie
  • Tools & Accessories: Oh My Fright Dies, Adhesive Backed Bats Ghosts & Dots, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Very Vanilla Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Frightfully Fun Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 1/2, cut 2 and glue to each side of the card base even with the edges.
  • Layer 3: Frightfully Fun Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 3-1/4. Glue to the center of the card base.
  • Layer 4: Very Vanilla Cardstock 4-1/4 x 1-1/4. Stamp the sentiment at the right with Basic Black Ink. Glue to card base 1-1/4″ from the bottom and flat.
  • Kitty: Stamp the kitty image on Very Vanilla Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle black embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the die. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to the left of the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Swirls: Cut 2 sirls with the die and Basic Black Cardstock. Glue tucked at the top and bottom of the kitty image.
  • Bats: Stamp the cluster of bats above the swirly and to the right with Basic Black Ink.
  • Bling: Add Adhesive Backed Bats Ghosts & Dots (bats) in the cluster of stamped bats.
