Celebrations Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! It’s time for another simple card with this as our theme for the month of July:

My card is quite simple with a few layers but I decided to add some hot foiling this time. Did you hear about the new Stampin’ Up! hot foil system? I’ve been playing with it and I’m having a blast. The gold foiling is part of my sentiment and the beautiful leaves layered over the stamping and I used the light pink foil for the butterfly:

• Stamps: Botanical Glow, Butterfly Flight
• Hot Foiling: Classic Greetings, Botanical Glow, Butterfly Flight
• Inks: Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Gorgeous Grape, Calypso Coral
• Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Bubble Bath
• Tools & Accessories: Butterfly Flight Decorative Masks, Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil, Light Pink Stampin’ Hot Foil, Blending Brushes, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Coastal Cabana Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
• Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Follow these steps:
  • Stamp the large leaf image with Fresh Freesia Ink.
  • Hot Foil the leaf image with Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil
  • Glue to card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Hot Foil on Basic White Cardstock with Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil. Cut with the die and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Butterfly: Hot Foil the butterfly image on Bubble Bath Cardstock with Light Pink Stampin’ Hot Foil. Use the masks and Blending Brushes to add color to the wings. Cut with the die and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimenisonals.
