Phrases & Frames!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a photo with lots & lots of colorful frames:

The Phrases & Frames Dies, Everyday Arches Dies and Sweet Words & Labels Dies worked so well for my card to replicate the frames. I used different dies for the shapes and glued Velvet Meadow Designer Paper on the inside or back of each one:

Each of the diecut frames include some pretty dry-embossed areas and I think the tiny diecut hearts are so pretty on the Basic Gray frame:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Scalloped Wishes
- Inks: Basic Black
- Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Pecan Pie, Bubble Bath
- Designer Paper: Velvet Meadow
- Tools & Accessories: Phrases & Frames Dies, Sweet Words & Labels Dies, Everyday Arches Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Gray Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4 and fold.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Velvet Meadow Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 3-3/4. Glue to white layer.
- Frame 1: Follow these steps:
- Basic Black Cardstock cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 3-1/4″ and 2-7/8″ long. Place them inside each other to cut the frame. Set aside.
- Velvet Meadow Designer Paper cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 3-1/4″ long.
- Glue the black frame over the designer paper layer.
- Glue at an angle to the left over the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Frame 2: Follow these steps:
- Basic Gray Cardstock cut with the Sweet Words & Lables Dies with the two similar shapes.
- Velvet Meadow Designer Paper cut with the larger die used on the gray cardstock.
- Glue the gray frame over the designer paper layer.
- Glue to the right of the black frame and at the top flat.
- Frame 3: Follow these steps:
- Pecan Pie Cardstock cut with the small Phrases & Frames Dies.
- Use the small oval die from Phrases & Frames Dies to cut the Velvet Meadow Designer Paper.
- Glue the frame and the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals, overlapping the gray frame at an angle.
- Sentiment: Use the small scalloped oval die from the Phrases & Frames Dies with Bubble Bath Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black Ink. Glue over the gray frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
