Sketch Challenge Week With Sunset Coast!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and this week is all about this sketch:

The bottom portion of the sketch are layers of torn paper like I did on my card here using the Scenic Coast Designer Paper. I like the way the torn edges turn white so it mimics white caps on the water:

All I did was cut the designer paper to 3-1/4″ wide and then torn strips that were about 1″ wide and I started gluing them on the Cloud Cover Cardstock layer about half-way up and worked my way down:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sunset Coast
- Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Blueberry Bushel, Cloud Cover, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Scenic Coast
- Inks: VersaMark, Strawberry Slush
- Tools & Accessories: Sunset Coast Dies, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powder, Hundred Acre Woods Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Strawberry Slush Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Blueberry Bushel Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Emboss with the Hundred Acre Woods Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
- Layer 3: Cloud Cover Cardstock 4 x 3-1/4. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Torn Layers: Scenic Coast Designer Paper 3-1/4″ wide. Tear 4 pieces about 1″ wide. Start gluing about half-way down the Cloud Cover Cardstock layer and layer each piece over each other until you get to the bottom.
- Clouds: Use the die to cut 3 clouds with Basic White Cardstock. Glue to the top left flat as shown.
- Sentiment: Strawberry Slush Cardstock 2 x 1-1/2. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Glue over the clouds with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Boats: Stamp 2 boats on Strawberry Slush Cardstock with Strawberry Slush Ink. Cut with the die. Tuck and glue under the torn layers.
