Botanicals Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our new theme for this month:

Our theme is quite easily achieved because Stampin’ Up! always has a good selection of botanicals we can use. Whether it’s leaves or flowers, there’s lots to pick from. This week’s card uses the Flowering Meadow Bundle and coordinating Velvet Meadow Designer Paper:

It’s hard to see on my photos but if you look closely at the designer paper, you’ll see little flocks of velvet in white:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Flowering Meadow
• Inks: Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Peaceful Pine
• Cardstock: Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Peaceful Pine, Basic White
• Designer Paper: Velvet Meadow
• Tools & Accessories: Flowering Meadow Dies, Dreamy Flowers, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Berry Burst Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
• Layer 2: Peaceful Pine Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Layer 3: Velvet Meadow Designer Paper 4-1/2 x 3-1/4. Cut on the long side at 2″ and flip over to the 2nd side of the print. Glue both pieces over the Peaceful Pine layer.
• Layer 4: Bubble Bath Cardstock 4 x 1/2. Stamp the sentiment to the right with Berry Burst Ink. Glue where the two designer papers meet.
• Stamp the branch image twice over the top designer paper layer with Peaceful Pine Ink at the left.
• Flowers: Follow these steps:
  • Stamp 2 stems with Peaceful Pink Ink on Basic White Cardstock.
  • Cut the stems with the die and glue to the left of the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp 1 set of flowers with Berry Burst Ink on Basic White Cardstock.
  • Stamp 1 set of flowers with Bubble Batch Ink on Basic White Cardstock.
  • Cut the flowers with the die and glue over each stem with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Bling: Add Dreamy Flowers to the stems and branches.
