Just Peachy!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is just peachy:
And Just Peachy is what I used for my stamp set this week along with the cute Phrases & Frames Dies. I used the “Rock ‘n Roll” Technique on all of my peaches to add 2 shades of ink:
What is the Rock ‘n Roll Technique? It’s when you ink up a stamp image with one color, and roll the edges over the first ink with a 2nd ink color. You can see that I used Timid Tiger Ink first, and then rolled the edges over Strawberry Slush Ink:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Just Peachy
- Inks: Timid Tiger, Strawberry Slush, Lemon Lime Twist
- Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Scenic Coast
- Tools & Accessories: Phrases & Frames Dies, Shimmering Dots, Paper Snips, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Strawberry Slush Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Follow these steps with Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4:
- Stamp several peaches using the Rock ‘n Roll Technique with Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush Ink.
- Stamp the peach tops with Lemon Lime Twist Inks.
- Stamp the dotted image using Strawberry Slush Ink.
- Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Scenic Coast Designer Paper 3-3/4 x 2. Glue to the bottom of the white layer.
- Layer 5: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 4-1/4 x 1/4. Snip both ends into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue at the top of the designer paper with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp on Basic White Cardstock with Strawberry Slush Ink. Cut with the Phrases & Frames Dies. Glue to skinny strip.
- Bling: Add Shimmering Dots to the designer paper layer.
