Color Challenge Week With Scalloped Blooms Dies!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and that means we usually feature a Sketch Challenge or a Color Challenge each week. This week we are featuring these 3 colors:

If you look closely at my designer paper layer, I used a sanding block while my paper layer was sitting inside an embossing folder and I sanded the embossed bumps. Our designer paper has white core so when you sand off the top color, the white is revealed:

It looks really neat doesn’t it? I also used some new products coming on May 5th:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Scalloped Blooms
- Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Popply Parade, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Floral Charm
- Inks: Mossy Meadow
- Tools & Accessories: Scalloped Blooms Dies, Pearlized Faceted Circles, Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Misc: Sanding Block
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Floral Charm Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Emboss with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder. Open the folder and leave the DSP layer inside. Use a sanding block to sand the bumps. They should turn white as you sand. Glue to card front.
- Scalloped Circles: Follow these steps:
- Cut one scalloped circle with the 2-3/4″ die and Poppy Parade Cardstock.
- Cut the scalloped circle in half.
- Glue to designer paper about 3/4″ from the top on each side.
- Cut one scalloped circle with the same die and Daffodil Delight Cardstock.
- Stamp the sentiment in the center with Mossy Meadow Ink.
- Glue slightly lower then the poppy circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Leaves: Use the 6-Leaf Die with Basic White Cardstock. Glue the leaves starting on the daffodil scallop to the bottom right corner of the designer paper.
- Bling: Add Pearlized Faceted Circles on the leaves in different spots.
