Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple 240

April 7, 2026 2 Comments

Let’s Get Punchy Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. We have a brand new theme for the month of April:

Punches can always be used as the intended purpose or, you can get creative and come up with other ways to use them. I opted to use a circle punch, folded over, and used as Punch Art birds:

I added quite a few layers to my birds and to my diecut branches:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Lovely Arrangements
  • Inks: Pecan Pie
  • Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Cloud Cover, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie
  • Designer Paper: Brights
  • Tools & Accessories: 1-7/8″ Circle Punch, Gliding Garden Swing Dies, Bee Builder Punch, Hues Of Blue Flowers, Moody Palette Glossy Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Cloud Cover Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Pecan Pie Ink. Set aside.
  • Tree Branches: Use the tree die from Gliding Garden Swing Dies to cut 2 branches. Glue to cloud cover layer and trim the ends to fit. Glue to card base.
  • Birds: Follow these steps to create 2 Punch Art birds:
    • Cut 2 patterns from the Brights Designer Paper with the 1-7/8″ Circle Punch.
    • Fold slightly off-center so the shorter end is on top. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals under the top layer to create the 3D look.
    • Cut 2 small triangles with Paper Snips and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock for the beaks. Glue to each bird body.
    • Use the Bee Build Punch to cut both hearts for each bird in opposite designer paper colors. Glue the large heart for the tail feather under the body and glue the small heart for a wing with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Add Moody Palette Dots for the eyesy.
    • Glue each bird to each branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add Hues Of Blue Flowers along all of the branches.
