Sketch Challenge Week With Sweet Bugs!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and this is the sketch our challenge team used this week:

I used some pretty papers and a cute bug on my card:

The Cute As A Bug Designer Paper has such pretty patterned paper sheets. And the cute bug from the Sweet Bugs Bundle was stamped, cut and then colored with Stampin’ Blends:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweet Bugs
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Poppy Parade
- Designer Paper: Cute As A Bug
- Inks: Mossy Meadown
- Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green
- Tools & Accessories: Sweet Bugs Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Cute As A Bug Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 1. Glue even at the left edge of the card base.
- Layer 3: Cute As A Bug Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 3-1/4. Glue even at the right edge of the card base.
- Layer 4: Poppy Parade Cardstock 5-1/2 x 1/4. Glue where the two designer papers meet.
- Layer 5: Poppy Parade Cardstock cut with the 2-3/4″ square from Stylish Shape Dies. Glue to card front at an angle about 1″ from the top.
- Layer 6: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2-3/8″ square from Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the flower image to the right with Mossy Meadow Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to poppy square at an opposite angle.
- Bug: Stamp the bug image on Basic White Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die. Glue to the left of the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2″ wide strip of Basic White Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. Cut into three words and glue below the squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
