Hoppy Easter Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our theme for this month:

The Easter Joy Designer Paper has this really neat preprinted sheet that is included in the paper pack and that’s what I decided to use for my main layer to my card this week. I used the print on the top left corner and then cut it to measure 4-3/4 x 3-1/2:

You can see how I layered the designer paper layer over Peach Pie and a Shy Shamrock cardstocks:

All I had to do from that point, was to cut a few tulips, add a sentiment and a few stamped critters:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Easter Basket
- Inks: Basic Gray
- Stampin’ Blends: Pretty In Pink, Pumpkin Pie
- Cardstock: Shy Shamrock, Peach Pie, Basic White, Darling Duckling
- Designer Paper: Easter Joy
- Tools & Accessories: Easter Basket Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Shy Shamrock Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Peach Pie Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Easter Joy Designer Paper 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Critters: Follow these steps-
- Stamp 1 large bunny and 2 small bunnies on Basic White Cardstock with Basic Gray Ink.
- Stamp 1 chick on Darling Duckling Cardstock with Basic Gray Ink.
- Color the bunny ear and nose with Pretty In Pink Blends.
- Color the chick nose with Pumpkin Pie Blends.
- Cut all critters with the dies.
- Glue all critters to the bottom left corner of the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2″ wide strip of Shy Shamrock Cardstock with Basic Gray Ink. Cut into 2 words. Glue to the top right corner of the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tulips: Use the tulip dies to cut three and glue over the preprinted flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
