Sketch Challenge Week With Festive Friends!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we are all using this Sketch Challenge this week:

I loved combining my darker blue tones with Lemon Lime Twist. Everything just pops with color:

The Festive Friends Dies cut beautiful trees for the background on my tag and I finished off my card with pretty diecut snowflakes:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Festive Friends
- Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twsit, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Peaceful Garden
- Inks: Secret Sea
- Stampin’ Blends Timid Tiger, Lemon Lime Twist
- Tools & Accessories: Festive Friends Dies, Traditional Sparkling Sequins, Blender Pen, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Peaceful Garden Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Peaceful Garden Designer Paper 3-1/2 x 2. Trim the two top corners into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Stamp the tree image in the center with Secret Sea Ink. Glue to card front at the left and at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Trees: Diecut 2 trees with the Festive Friends Dies. Glue to tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Snowman: Stamp the snowman image on Basic White Cardstock with Secret Sea Ink. Cut with the die. Use a Blender Pen and the inked lines on the body to add a subtle shade of the blue. Color the hat, scarf and nose with Stampin’ Blends. Glue snowman to the right of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Basic White Cardstock 1-1/2 x 1/2. Stamp with Secret Sea Ink. Glue over the trees.
- Snowflakes: Cut 3 snowflakes with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Glue to background with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Traditional Sparkling Sequins to each snowflake.
