Turtle-y Awesome Animal Card Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:

I love the turtle images in our Turtle-y Awesome Bundle. I colored all of my images with Stampin’ Blends:

The turtle image is so perfect to go with my birthday greeting and is sure to put a smile on the recipient’s face!


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Turtle-y Awesome
- Inks: Memento Black
- Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Basic White, Lemon Lolly
- Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Lemon Lolly, Shaded Spruce
- Designer Paper: Turtle-y Cute
- Tools & Accessories: Turtle-y Awesome Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base at an angle.
- Layer 3: Poppy Parade Cardstock 4-1/4 x 3. Glue to card front at an angle.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 2-3/4. Stamp the balloon image repeatedly at the left with Memento Black Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to poppy layer.
- Turtle: Stamp on Basic White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue to the bottom left on the white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Balloons: Stamp 2 balloons on Basic White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue tucked under the turtle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink on Lemon Lolly Cardstock 2-3/4 x 1/2. Trim the left end into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue 1″ from the top and to the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
