Sketch Challenge Week With Turtle-y Awesome!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . It’s Sketch Challenge week this week using this sketch:

If you look closely, the top layer of the sketch has a folded-over flap and I chose some pretty designer paper for that layer. I wanted both sides to be colorful:

I actually used three different patterns for my layers from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper and also used the turtle die to cut a turtle from another sheet that fit our dies:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Turtle-y Awesome
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White
- Designer Paper: Turtle-y Cute
- Inks: Melon Mambo
- Tools & Accessories: Turtle-y Awesome Dies, Shades Of Green Hexagons, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Turtle-y Cute 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper 4-1/2 x 3-1/2. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 3. Stamp the sentiment at the top right corner with Melon Mambo Ink. Glue to card front.
- Layer 5: Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper 4 x 3. Place a pencil mark down 1-1/4″ from the top right side. Score from the top left corner to pencil mark. Fold over. Place a Stampin’ Dimensional under the flap to elevate it. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Melon Mambo Ink. Glue to white layer.
- Turtle: Use the turtle die to cut a turtle from the designer paper. Glue to flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Shades Of Green Hexagons to the background.
