Party Time Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:
It’s Party Time at one of my friend’s home and I created this card for her. Once a month, she hosts a bunch of ladies over to her home so I thought this card would be perfect for our gathering:
She has been a friend of mine for quite some time and I know she will love this card when I give it to her. I used two shades of color for the leaves that is accomplished in two steps with two stamp images:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Artistic Leaves
- Inks: Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist
- Cardstock: Lemon Lolly, ,Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: So Swirly Embossing Folder, Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Lemon Lolly Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the outline leaf image several times to fill the cardstock layer using Lemon Lime Twist Ink.
- Stamp the inside of the leaf image with Lemon Lolly Ink.
- Emboss the cardstock layer with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
- Wrap the ribbon around the cardstock layer and tie into a knot at the right. Cut the ends at an angle.
- Glue cardstock layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Lemon Lolly Cardstock 3-1/2 x 1/2 with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Glue above the ribbon.
- Bling: Add Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the center of each leaf.
